"mom, i MISS-TED you."
oh, my heart.
and she's been walking around the house this morning saying, "O-BAMA, O-BAMA, O-BAMA" just because she's been hearing that name on the news and all.
we are not "into" politics.
we vote. and care. but we aren't "into" it.
but i was just watching the Obama's walk into the White House and greet the Bush's and i got all choked up.
why?
i'm not sure.
but i am very thankful that we live in a country that has such a peaceful turnover of power.
regardless of who you voted for, it's big day.
and i'm praying for our country more today than i do most days.

Well, Chris was all choked up this morning too, but I don't think he had the same things going through his mind that you did. LOL! I have been struck this week though by how blessed we are to have a country where power changes hands peacefully. And that even where people do not like the person, they respect the office and respect the fact that they won the votes needed to get there.
We ARE into it, and loved getting our "snow day" so we were able to stay home and watch the inauguration stuff after all.
