I am with you on that one... "Still" is one word that I have a hard time being and "Knowing God" is another, because if I really knew Him, I wouldn't get so upset over things! *sigh* isn't it amazing God loves us anyway?
Oh Courtney. For the same reason all of us do. This week, my Beth Moore biblestudy was all about patience. HELLO! She said today in the video so many "ouch" points - the ones that step RIGHT on your toes! She talked about how we have never needed patience more than we do now, and yet our world has never been more impatient. She also talked about how we struggle with patience because we see it as being idle. And yet we read the story in Luke of the prodigal son. And how you didn't see the father out pacing the neigborhood, or trying to talk his son out of squandering his inheritance. Rather he patiently waited and prayed. Hard to do. Some of the hardest work we ever do. Definitely not IDLE!!
Thinking of this verse often with the upcoming elections. One of the hardest things to do.... Wow, that is a great comment Katy made. I wonder which study that is?? I'm thinking I need a Beth Moore study next!
