some of you are going to not like this...
but i have to remember when i did it.
he's 3 months old tomorrow.
i cut Sawyer off.
he's not nursing in the middle of the night anymore.
i decided that he was big enough and old enough and tried it.
here's how it went:
(i DO nurse him right before i go to bed - around 10 pm)
Fri nite - he woke up at 3 am, cried for 15 minutes and went back to sleep til 7 am (that was enough proof for me right there!!!)
Sat nite - slept straight through til almost 7 am
Sun nite - woke up at 4:30 am and cried off and on til 5:30 am (when i got up to go running) then he slept til i woke him up at 6:45 am (6:45-7 am is his only chance to eat til 8 am - we're getting rebekah off to school and getting breakfast and everyone dressed)
Mon nite - slept straight through til 6:15 am!
so, he's cut off. he's proved himself enough to me.
i think (hope) that he will continue to sleep straight through most nights now.
and sleeping from 11ish til 5:30 am STRAIGHT was SO nice!!!
yea Sawyer! (with a little help from mom...)

I figured it was more that he just missed you than anything else. Once they prove to you that they CAN sleep through, then you're on to them! No more of the faking it, waking up in the night. He's a big boy - he can do it!! Good for you!
we did that exact same thing with our four little bundles...worked like a charm after just a day or two also!
Yay for uninterrupted sleep!
