beginning of 2nd grade

maybe i'm growing up, too.
i'm not really that sad. i didn't even cry. and i'm feeling a little guilty about that.
the house DOES feel empty without her here.
but she was so excited.
huge smile on her face.
daddy walked to school with us this morning.
it was nice to get up, get everyone dressed, fed and out the door by 7:30 (now if i could just add 4 miles running before that, it would REALLY feel good!)

joshua said, "i'm going to miss her."
and he will.

but he already got to hold sawyer (while i took a shower!)
and we did school.
and we're about to play any game HE wants to play.
so, hopefully he won't miss her too much.

i love how you can see all 4 of them in this picture - rebekah telling sawyer goodbye, joshua RIGHT THERE as close as he can be to her, and bailey with her red, glittery shoes on.

I am glad it was a good morning! You'll be doing 4 in no time. How you can be excited about that I'll never know ;)

Oh Courtney you are doing so good! I'm so thankful the Lord filled your heart with peace and joy this morning as your family walked Rebekah to school. The pictures are priceless. Each one tells a story in itself. Thanks too for pointing out the closeness of each child in the picture of Rebekah saying goodbye to Sawyer.

Psalm 9:1-2 -
I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

So GLAD that it went so well this morning! (Was it really cold enough for Joshua to have his hoodie up? Maybe it IS fall!) She looks awfully cute and grownup in her first day of school outfit!!!
