this is going to be a random post - just want to get some things down here before i forget and i don't have the time or energy to do it in any orderly way...
bailey's doing ok. fine since this morning. i'll give her something to eat after her nap (she was BEGGING for food before it but i couldn't take the chance yet) and we'll see. she obviously didn't feel great, but was hanging in there. she is one tough little girl. i mean, REALLY tough. hopefully this won't be like her past stomach bugs that last 5 days.
the girls birthdays are coming up (Rebekah - Aug 31, Bailey - Sept 5). we asked them this weekend what they wanted. (this is NOT a hint for you, sweet grandma's...this is because i want to remember what they wanted when they were 7 and 3):
Rebekah - a hula hoop and a 2 wheel scooter (either purple handlebars...or red...or whatever color you can find)
Bailey - a pink bear stroller like Brooke's (a neighbor) and a new baby (like we NEED another baby doll around here!)
the other night i heard this conversation between them in their room:
Rebekah: "Bailey, what do you want me to give you for your birthday? From me?"
Bailey: "Ummm..(obviously has no idea what to say. i think the only object she KNOWS is JUST hers in the whole house is her blanket. she doesn't really get how to ask for things - which is fine with me!) You talk to me about it." which means, i don't know what to say. you tell me what i want. too cute, huh?
Rebekah really has been super helpful lately. we've had our issues in the last few months with her, but she's really been a blessing lately. is it because she's away from all the other influences at school? or is it because we had Sawyer and she senses the need to step it up around here? i don't know. yes, i was joking about the homeschooling thing....mostly. but i'm starting to dread her going to school in a whole new way...i'm going to miss my helper!
yes, Sawyer sleeps on his tummy. all the time. all my kids have. i sleep better on my tummy, and they do too.
i CANNOT stop eating! i didn't really have much of an appetite the first couple weeks (i never do) but, now, all of a sudden i'm eating EVERYTHING in sight! not good.
pat and i are both completely consumed with our "jobs" right now. we don't have much left at the end of the day for each other. but, i know this will pass quickly. i also know i need to still love him with as much as i do have at the end of the day. i'm so thankful to be able to stay at home with these kids because he works so very hard for us all day.
the end of my random post.

Sorry, let me try this comment again :)
It's funny that we had the same things to say about our girls today! I seem to recall us being on the very same page, on the very same day with them before. Their bdays are close too. J's is also this month.
It's nice to have another mom to relate to in this way!
So much to say!!! First of all, I think Joshua is adorable that he is always wearing a hat these days!!! I love that Sawyer is another tummy sleeper - 2 of my 3 were...it's just cozier, right? As for the girls and their bday wishes - how cute is that!!! I think a hula hoop sounds like a GREAT idea, and it should make you feel good that even with your own new baby, Bailey still wants another one! :)
All the pics of the kids are great...Sawyer is such a little love. Sounds like that Babywise is working for ya. Don't you love when they cooperate for you like that?!
I just love your random post, and seeing what your life and new precious little sawyer is like! And your kids are SO funny---love you Courtney!!
