happy birthday, rebekah!

she's 7 today.
she's brought an intensity to our family since the moment she was born...and i'm pretty sure will last her whole life.
she has the best laugh.
she LOVES being a sister.
she loves to do crafts.
she loves to read and write.
she loves TIME with us...playing games, reading, even watching a movie.
she is daddy's girl.
she is very confident in herself.
she does what she wants whether she's "allowed to" or not - if we can just get her to always want what God wants, then we're good, right?
she loves to be helpful.
she loves to swim and run (that's my girl!!!)
she doesn't seem to enjoy "team" sports, more of an individual player...i'm not going to think too "deeply" into that...but i hope that's ok.
she is VERY observant...too much so sometimes.
she can hula-hoop really well.
she loves to give hugs.
she has a desire to please us - especially her daddy.
she loves tacos.
she doesn't like anything with peanut butter in it.
she sucks her thumb when she goes to sleep.

i love you, rebekah.
daddy and i are so thankful to be your parents.
we pray you will always seek after Him and His ways.
we're privileged to walk alongside you and we'll try our best to start letting go as you get older.
we are proud of you and who you are.
we will always love you, precious.
donut cake for breakfast...tacos for dinner! yum!

Happy Birthday Rebekah! Can't believe it has been 7 year!! I had to comment on your post about your date with Bailey because it cracked me up. A few weeks ago, I took paige on a date adn we went and did the EXACT same thing (only ice cream sundae afterwards instead of a slurpee :) ) and our date went the exact same way where I finally "gave into" playing trains with her after reading a few books! too funny...i think your bailey and our paige would get along quite well...they sound so much alike (either that or they are too much alike and it wouldn't go well at all :) ) enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Happy Birthday Rebekah! Hope your day is filled with all the fun things you love. And may you grow up to love Jesus in a very extreme way. I totally loved reading all the things your Mommy wrote about you in her blog. You are a precious little girl and I'm so happy I had the privilege of meeting you. Courtney, that cake was soooooo very clever!!! You are amazing girl!!!

Happy Birthday Rebekah! I remember the day I got the call that she was on her way. I was in my sublet apartment in Queens after being in NYC for a month or less. And I'll also never forget how sweet Rebekah was when I came to visit once and was so upset over a silly boyfriend that I was crying on your little couch in the kitchen I think, and Rebekah (about 3 years old at that point maybe?) brought me a dishtowel, I think, to wipe my tears away.
Such a special girl!
