half and half

so, i realized i've been posting about all the "good" moments lately - because i'm just so thankful that we are having good moments...and i'm trying to dwell on them.

but, the reality is that half our moments are "good" - things are under control, and half of our moments are not - things are crazy and NOT under control.

yes, sawyer slept while i did "school" with the other 3 and things seemed so under control but later in the day, while i was trying to get dinner on the table, sawyer was SCREAMING, bailey had just been punished for disobeying me and was getting over that and rebekah and joshua were arguing over something. NOT under control. i was thankful our windows weren't open because our neighbors would probably be worried about all the crying coming from this house.

so, our moments are half and half...and i think that's how it's going to be for awhile.

sounds like any normal household with 4 little ones. Don't be hard on yourself. Remember it will get easier.

Seriously! 50/50 is pretty good! It's actually better than what the split is at my house some days...and I don't have a newborn!!! So keep dwelling on the good moments - and realize that every other mom is having those "off" moments too - it just is life! You're doing GREAT! (And the homeschool comment....are you just joking or are you really thinking that way???)

Half and half is pretty good considering, I hate it when someone calls because it's just at that moment that everything goes crazy and it sounds like I'm beating my kids or neglecting them, so you are doing the right thing and one day when they are all grown up you'll say yeah I survived and my kids get to see what life was like with 4 small kids and a mother who loved them. What's that song "You're gonna miss this" Well I don't know about missing it but I'm sure I won't forget it because it's only a season. Homeschooling....huh..

That's a good way to describe it! Half and half is pretty tasty so if you can look at the tough moments as palatable that's great. These too shall pass!! Keep up the good work and it will pay off when they are grown and out on their own....speaking from experience!
