still here...still pregnant

we've had such a great weekend!

pat got home EARLY on Thursday - which started the whole thing off amazingly for me. i spent the afternoon crying and blubbering about how i "can't do this one more day." pathetic. it was a bad day for me physically. pat is amazing. so supportive. so helpful. always just what i need.

friday morning the fogarty's arrived! happy 4th of july!

we hung out for the day until later in the afternoon when the ayer's and the young's joined the party. it was so fun. all 4 guys lived together in college and ej's wife, ali, and i have been friends since college too. as i've said before, brian and cary married GREAT women that have also become precious friends to me. so, everyone was happy. pat had his friends, i had mine, and the kids had theirs!

we just talked, hung out in the porch, heard about Cary's Ironman (!), caught up on life, the kids rode bikes, grilled burgers and hot dogs, did some sparklers, and walked around the corner for a more "real" fireworks show. my kids LOVE all these people too...and just climb right on up.

i don't know why...but i didn't get a SINGLE picture of the girls...sad.

the fogarty's also stayed all day saturday. owen and joshua are the same age...and buds. they had a blast. and i got my "ali" time. got to sit on the couch and talk to her and share our hearts and she took care of me (swept my floor and got me ice water!) so i could just sit. i'm tearing up thinking about her driving away. it was an encouragement to me.

and this is the fogarty's 1 year old, mason. how cute is he??
we had a great visit. the weekend was the perfect "speed" for me - pretty low key. and everyone was very helpful and telling me to sit down the whole time, which my body needed.
now i'm ready to have this baby.

Sounds like it was refreshing for you to be with great friends. Perfect timing right on the heels of feeling like you could not do it one more day : )
Can't wait to see your baby!!

You fooled me! You seemed in good spirits all weekend. Hope it wasn't too much for you! We sure enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again! I'll be praying that baby comes really soon.
