my favorite part

of today just happened.

it was the best 5 minutes.

i got bailey out of her bed after her nap and she laid her head on my shoulder. i sat in the rocking chair in her room and held her. the smells were a combination of chlorine in her hair from the pool this morning, sunscreen still on our skin, sweat from her sweaty little sleepy head. it was so sweet and i never want to forget it.

(i actually had LOTS of great minutes today - swimming at the gym, spent the morning at the pool with the Faircloths and Kelly really is one of my favorite people, took a little nap - i definitely have had some good minutes!)

headed back to the pool for swim team. i'm tired.

Oh, I loooooove moments like that!!!! The ones you don't plan, but they just occur spontaneously. So sweet! Nice that you took the time to savor.

Ok so you just made me cry....your baby of this day will not be your baby in a month......precious little Bailey. And of course, the new baby will be absolutely adorable and Bailey will adjust....in a while....:) Oh us moms are in a constant state of flexibility....and changing from stage to stage. I can imagine the sweet thoughts going through your head AND your heart. Love YOU sweet daughter.

I so love the smell of our babies when they first wake up. Good for you for taking the time to sit there with her and soak it in!!!
