lesson

this almost seems too "private" - but i have to document it.

i set up a lesson for Rebekah when she got home from school today...about grace. i made it seem very "spur of the moment" and "random" - but it was very planned out and intentional. i had her read me some verses from Ephesians 2 about grace, i had her tell me what she knew about it, i tried to help her through it without "preaching" too much, i gave an analogy about it, i had her write some of the things she'd done wrong lately on pieces of paper and then throw them in the trash - to show her how God treats our sin with His grace. i saw a couple light bulbs go off throughout our time. i pray that she takes it into her heart. and i pray that i can let some of this go. i'm having as much trouble with my sin (not forgiving her and not moving on) as she is having with her sin (being disobedient.)

let's just say the lesson was good for both of us.

And THIS Is why you're an amazing mom!! Because you can see through the disobedience and see the heart - what our MAIN job is. I'm SURE it was great for both of you!
