where i am

-feeling like this baby is going to fall out of me - like the bones are so bruised it's not going to hold up much longer
-feeling like parenting a 6 1/2 year old is NOT my favorite age
-feeling like my 4 year old is so sensitive and sweet and adorable
-loving the feel of my 2 year old's hand as her fingers are ALWAYS on me
-feeling like no matter how hard i try, my house is never clean
-feeling like i need 5 minutes with my husband to give each other a "real" hug - you know, not just the "have a good day" kind, but a "real" one
-feeling overwhelmed with all the creative projects i have going on in my head - but not the energy to do the laundry much less those projects

so, i'm going to go outside now with my 3 kids and play with chalk and do "helicopter, helicopter" with a jump rope, and find roly polies and pretend all that isn't going on in my head and heart.

Love that! What an excellent decision you are making with your time this afternoon.

This sounds very normal for a mom with 3 children and pregant with her fourth! I am sorry it is all a bit overwhelming, but Courtney you sure do a GREAT job in the midst of MUCH going on. Children....the greatest joy and the greatest challenge for sure, but oh so worth it! I understand COMPLETELY. I love you. Your Mom

I totally agree with you on most of these. I so feel the same way! So today instead of doing all of my "to-dos". I took a nap. Productive huh?? And we are leaving in about 5 minutes...when everyone has shoes on...for a walk. Who cares about a dirty house right?? If only I could truly feel that way and not just say it! Somehow it all gets done and our kiddos are way more important than our house work! :)
Have a great evening!

I feel like Im about to have a baby fall out of my body as well. I feel like I could go just about any day - and I've got 10 weeks left.

And that's all that you can be doing - and what you should be doing!!! Your kids don't care about the projects or the laundry or the fact that your house may not be as impeccable as you like it to be - they are going to remember the bug hunts and the chalk drawings!!!! It's such a hard balance, but you are doing GREAT!

....also hoping that you got that hug...I know the difference it can make (and thankfully so does Jake - it's his 'weapon' when I'm on a rampage!)
