so done

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."
James 1:2

i don't care what God is trying to teach me. i'm so done. over it. i don't want to learn it. just let me be!

all i can say is that after all this i ought to have some SERIOUS perseverance. maybe i'll be able to run a marathon with all that perseverance or something (or maybe lose 40 pounds starting in July!)

sorry, still not very uplifting around here.

pat's sick today. VERY convenient on the day i THOUGHT i might get a little break, huh?

Hi precious Courtney.. this is a long post, but prayerfully it will encourage you.

Here is a story I recently read:
In 1952, Florence Chadwick stepped into the waters of the Pacific Ocean off Catalina Island, CA, determined to swim to the mainland. An experienced swimmer, she had already been the first woman to swim the English Channel both ways.

The weather that day was foggy and chilly; Florence could hardly see the boats accompanying her. Still she swam steadily for 15 hours. When she begged to be taken out of the water along the way, her mother, in a boat alongside, told her that she was close and that she could make it. Finally, physically and emotionally exhausted, Florence stopped swimming and was pulled out. It wasn't until she was aboard the boat that she discovered she was less than half a mile away. At the news conference the next day she said, "All I could see was the fog... I think if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it.

I am praying that you MAKE it. I am praying that God gives you a vision of healthy kids, healthy husband who isn't stressed at work... coming home by dinner, and eyes to see the beauty in your uncomfortable growing body. I pray that you can go to church today and Pastor Mike encourages you in the word and friends are there to hug you, love on you... and that you get some time to yourself to do anything you want. It is a season of sickness for your family right now... and I am praying it ends soon and God gives you much strength during this time.
hugs from Hungary...love jules

You just cannot catch a break! Are you sure it is not because of him staying out to late playing poker? I hope Sunday is better for you.

I am praying for endurance, clairty, and renewed energy for you today - go in grace my friend and if I could I would totally be brining you a cup of coffee and a hug right now (or whatever your choice of drink is currently!?) -
from a friend in the same trench needing the same prayer...

I love the story that your friend Julie posted. Keep your eyes on the prize...the fact that God IS still actively involved in your life and the life of your family and that the end goal IS worth it....and if all this convinces you to run a marathon with me,then I'm excited at least!! :)

Hang in there I promise things will hopefully get better and stop trying to do so much, things will get done but they may not be as perfect as they once were for a while, but you are creating a little miracle in your body and that is hard work. So you may not be able to do all the things you want to but they will eventually get done and I promise the only person it's really bothering is you, because your loved one's don't care, they only care about your well being and taking care of youself as well is your family's health is the top priority. Not spring cleaning! The spring is coming and healthy family will come and tax season is almost here and hopefully Pat will have less stress, I will continue to pray for you for strength, clarity and rest.
