Oh no! You have really been gobsmacked for the last few months. I will pray for your strength. And remember you are in survival mode so give yourself a break...a day of TV for your kids won't kill them...just do nothing today....
Courtney, I am so sorry you are dealing with this. It's terrible when it seems never ending and like you can't catch a break, or your breath before the next incident (and there isn't much worse than dealing wtih vomit when you're pregnant!). Know that you are not alone. I'm always comforted by the fact that other moms have dealt with the same kind of stuff! Those "I'm done" feelings, and even "I can't stand this job" are certainly emotions I face at times too. It's difficult to be out of your normal routine and to be awoken during the night to clean up yet another explosion and having that kind of illness in your house is just plain stressful. I will lift you up in prayer many times today. God's grace is sufficient for you this day. This will be over soon.
Lord Jesus, please give Courtney your all-sufficient grace this morning. I know she is so weary and tired, so enable her to get through today and see some glimmers of hope in the midst of all of this sickness. Wrap your healing hands around her precious family and heal them. Strengthen them up and continue to protect Courtney and her sweet baby growing inside. Cover her kids with your love and help them to be EXTRA obedient today. Help her know that she is deeply loved!
Hey Courtney, This is my very first post on a blog. I wanted to take a moment to say I love you. You are a great mom, cook, wife, housecleaner and inspiration to us all. Give yourself a break. You are pregnant and not expected to continue at the same pace as before. I will be praying for you. Try to enjoy each day and not wish away your life - that is the lesson I am trying to learn and it is so hard. I love you, my friend. this too shall pass.
Courtney- i am so hoping that this "venemous disease" leaves your house soon. you guys have had it so bad this year! we had a winter like that last year. i only went to church once in dec because someone was sick. someone was sick on all of the holidays and we just kept passing it back and forth. it was horrible. only i don't really know how it is for you because we only had two kids and i wasn't pregnant then. i can't even imagine trying to take care of all of this while being pregnant. please know that i am praying for all of you and for endurance and strength.
Checking back in today hoping to see good news...know that you are loved - and I'm with Jenny - LESS than 100 days to go until we meet this sweet baby!!! :)
