trying to get back in the game

slowly getting there. my house is mostly back in order. got the projects on the "to do" list done that NEEDED to be done. and i've attempted to start working out again.

i went to the gym on Tuesday and did 1/2 my normal daily workout - ran 2 miles and swam 1/2 mile. the run was rough - just kept having coughing fits. the swim was great. it just felt so good to USE my muscles again. i literally said, "ahhh" in delight when i started swimming (which is hard to do underwater!) the guy in charge of the pool at the gym asked where i'd been - he was worried about me! that was nice! :-)

yesterday i walked 3 1/2 miles with my friend, Remi (thanks!) and then did a sculpting workout (the Firm). i was very tired from that.

today i swam 1 mile. it felt good. not great, good. i just kept coughing. i was planning on running this morning. but just the thought of that cold (12 degree!), dry air made me start coughing, so i didn't. i really need to get back to it though. i can't imagine how long it's going to take me to not struggle through it. but i feel so much more sick (morning sickness) in the morning if i don't run and it's getting old.

now, i know you all were dying to hear all that. sorry for the boring post, but it's what's going on over here.

I was wondering if it would be easier to start back with the swimming - you're right about running in the cold...it's not going to help your cough AT ALL!!! Maybe sitting in the sauna at your gym - are you allowed to do that when pregnant? Probably not...can't do anything when pregnant!
