from one of those devotion things i get sent to my email that i'm finally getting around to reading...

"The goal in teaching and disciplining our children is not so they can behave in the checkout line, but so they can become so accustomed to obeying us while they're under our wing, they'll have no problem obeying God when they're out on their own.

Truth is, you're teaching your children something every minute you're around them. Make sure the things you're doing are lining up with the things you're saying."

these 2 thoughts echo the cry of my heart for parents everywhere.

Isn't that the truth. I certainly need to remember that more often. I find myself yelling at the kids but yet I don't want them yelling at me. Thanks for the reminder. It is something I need to work on everyday.

Such a GREAT reminder. Although sometimes, I'd settle just for good behavior in the checkout line!! You're right on though - they watch EVERY thing we do!!!
