fun in the neighborhood

yesterday was such a fun day. my next door neighbor is due with her first baby at the end of December. we (the neighborhood ladies) threw her a "Christmas tea party" shower yesterday afternoon. it turned out beautifully. (sad, i didn't get ANY pictures of the ladies!)



then, last night was the "Annual Running Ladies Dinner Party". this, of course, was my first year. Paige, one of the ladies i run with puts the whole thing on! it was a blast. Pat enjoyed meeting all the husbands and wives. the food was delish! and the company was a blast! we always spend our runs with plenty of conversation and laughter...but the wine and atmosphere and yummy food (especially chocolate cake!) took the whole thing up a notch! so fun!

and, by the way, the party ended around 10:30 pm, didn't get to bed til close to midnight after talking to Pat's parents for while before they headed home from watching the kids and we STILL ran at 5:45 this morning! we had to run that chocolate cake off!
