ok. i have a pinched nerve in my neck since saturday. it's driving me crazy. i can't sleep. yes, advil helps, but then it comes roaring back as it wears off. it's making me so cranky and my poor family is sick of it. any tips??
Oh courtney. I am so sorry! Scott has this problem a lot. sometimes heat helps him but actually he prefers ice better. he has a "fleixble" ice pack. that he uses for his neck. we got it at a special back store because he has actually been to the ER three times for this! (frozen peas would probably work fine too) another thing that works well for him is a massage with a tennis ball. it works well for scott if i use a tennis ball and massage it around the pinched nerve. if it gets bad enough (he has not been able to move before and we have had to call an ambulance), you can get drugs and a steroid shot for it. Also if you see a PT for it, they can give you some exercises to do which will loosen it up and prevent it from happening again. Scott does these exercised every morning after working out and every night before bed and his neck has been better now for awhile. :) sorry that this is so long adn if you need other ideas if it doesn't get better, let me know. Kim
Sounds like Kim has been down this same road!! That's awful Courtney - I have no idea!!! You've had this once before, haven't you? I would definitely say go to a PT or chiropractor or something - you don't want it just to linger!!! UGH!!

visit a chiropractor-Cary doesn't feel this is good advice, but I have been many times and I'm fine.
