ok. who LOVES to eat chocolate chip cookie dough? i mean, i'll make chocolate chip cookies JUST because i want an excuse to eat the dough. made this dessert last night for Shepherd group - SO YUMMY! basically, it's brownies with chocolate chip cookie dough on top!
here's the recipe:
Recipe for Two-tone Fudge Brownies
Brownies:
1 C semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups flour
¾ cup chopped walnuts (I didn’t add these)
Cookie Dough Layer:
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
3. T milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
-In a microwave, melt choc. Chips; stir until smooth. Cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate. Combine flour and baking soda; gradually add to batter. Stir in walnuts.
-spread in a greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 16-22 minutes. Cool.
-in a small mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls over cooled brownies; carefully spreading over top. Cut into squares. Store in refrigerator.

if you want a super short cut.. I've pressed a prepackaged roll of choc chip cookies into a 9x13 and then added a box of brownie mix on top (made as directed). I think I baked according to the brownie box. Probably not as good as from scratch but I've received lots of compliments on them.
that sounds yummy, too. but the GREAT thing about these is the topping still tastes like the DOUGH...not like cooked chocolate chip cookies!
