our weekend

had a nice time with extended family this weekend. honored a wonderful man - Allan Brooks. funerals are so interesting. you are sad to say goodbye to that person. but it gives you a renewed perspective on those that are still around you - you appreciate them more. why is that?

got home at 8 pm last night. unpacked the car and got bailey into bed (i rocked and read to her for longer than i've done since she was 6 months old probably! it was so fun!) then i got unpacked and got to work!

this is what i have to show for my evening. i've had this on my "list" since we moved in. i had done the same border in our other house - and just haven't gotten around to doing it here. i had taken and picture and just copied it. then i climbed into bed and looked through all those catalogs you get in the mail and never have time to pore over. turned off the light at midnight. and bailey and i both slept til 8:30 this morning! we had a slow morning together - playing - NO cleaning. then the kids and pat got home about 11 - and with them brought this:

TONS of laundry! this isn't even all of it! so, that's what i'll be doing for the rest of today and probably into tomorrow. they took a disposable camera with them - i'll post any "post-worthy" pictures when i get them back. they had a great time. we're glad to all be back together!

Love, love, love that picture in Joshua's room - so glad you were able to do it again. It's just so perfect (by the way, have I told you how many people absolutely LOVE the paintings you did for my kids' rooms?) Sorry about the laundry - it would seem like since they were camping, they should have just worn the same dirty clothes the whole time!!! That would have been much easier!!! Take it EASY this week and recover!!! Love you guys!
