i love a day to honor my dad. he's such an amazing man. i know many people say that about their dads, but it's REALLY true with mine. he's been the best dad...so patient and loving. always encouraging me and supporting me - like the time he came to visit me at college with my mom because they were "worried" about me (with good reason) and the time he wrote me a LONG encouraging, understanding letter right before i had my first child - it's still in my Bible and still brings me to tears and i can't even begin to count the times he's "fixed" or "found" something i thought was beyond repair or lost forever. aside from being a wonderful dad, he's an amazing MAN of God. his quiet strength and deep humility are just not found very often. i'm honored to have Joshua have my dad's name as his middle name and i pray that Joshua will grow up to have even SOME of the strength and humility my dad does.
and now, he's such an amazing "papa" to my children. he always gets down on their level and plays with them like he doesn't have 500 other things to do that are much more important. they love him so much...

He IS an amazing man!! I'll never forget standing downstairs with your Dad when you came down wearing your mom's wedding dress!!We were both a mess!!!

You are blessed. I cannot say any of that about my father...isn't that sad. Fortunately for my kids, Bob is everything you mentioned...as I know Pat is.
