ran on the W&OD trail by myself this morning. my "running ladies" kids' have swim team on saturdays now. so we're doing long runs on mondays and fridays. i decided to run somewhere different this morning. ran 7 miles. it was nice. i crossed over creeks. ran past cows. some of the signs said, "caution: trails abutting (what in the world does that mean??? i don't know but it doesn't sound good)", and "stop for horses on bridge". ran from ashburn to leesburg (really not that far - but it sounds cool to run to another town!)
most people you pass (bikers and runners) are very friendly, wave and/or say hi. it annoyed me the ones that don't. i mean, we're like inches apart and you're going to pretend you don't see me? please. rude. anyways, other than that it was very pleasant and i felt really good. now we're headed out to work in the yard!
