William Wilberforce

i'm reading this book right now. the movie is coming out on DVD in a few weeks and i can't wait to see it - but i have this thing with needing to read the book before i see the movie. anyways, i'm only about 50 pages into it...but he is an amazing man. here's a description of him that is in the introduction:

"his face a benevolently pleasing smile, and his eye a fine intellectual expression. In his conversation he was fluent, yet modest; remarkably exact and elegant in his diction; cautious in forming conclusions; searching in his interrogations; and skillful in weighing testimony.
