"400's", "800's", "longer strides", "keep up the pace"(pace??? i'm just trying to keep moving forward!), "recovery time"
these are some of the terms i heard this morning as we ran sprints on the track...the first time i've sprinted in my life. they were very gracious and encouraging to me - even though i was way behind. they insist that it will "make me faster"...we'll see. it felt good (now i can say that, now that i can breathe again.) i think i'll be feeling that all day and into tomorrow...

very funny! You did great!
Oh man, I hate speed drills and track work. I feel for you Courtney, however they will make you faster! It's so cool that you have a group of folks to do this with who encourage you. There is nothing like running with a team. Good job!!
good grief. that seems totally impossible to me these days in my super pregnant state. and reminds me of my highschool field hockey days. good for you, courtney. i was wondering, does Pat refer to you as a "runner" yet? (i think he is just jealous:)
yes, he does!
