american idol

we aren't huge american idol fans. but we did watch the show last night. it was incredible...a 2 hour special called "idol gives back." there were clips of people in the us and in other countries that are living (and dying) in extreme poverty, AIDS is rampant and malaria is killing so many. the statistics were staggering...every 3 seconds a child dies from poverty, every 3 minutes a child is orphaned by AIDS. i mean, my heart and mind can hardly grasp the pain of that reality. i'm crying for all those that are hurting in ways i never will today. but i also cling to the hope that the same God i came before this morning has His arms around them and is there.

check out either americanidol.com or "the one campaign" if you want to see what i'm talking about...and give a little to help them! how can we not??

Hi Courtney! I totally agree. The show last night was heart wrenching. I tried calling for an hour to make a donation and could not get through! I makes you appreciate everything we have!
