well, we made it! the move went smoothly on saturday - it feels good to have our whole family and all our stuff in one house - it was a crazy week last week bringing stuff little by little (and then the big move on saturday!) we couldn't have done it without our parents - Pat's parents watched the kids (an incredible blessing!) and my parents helped us clean out our old place and do little things like hang blinds and set up the stereo stuff (apparently this is very important!)...
i feel like i have a newborn again...in the sense that i haven't slept for a few hours straight in about a week. last week it was the nerves and excitement of the move. this week it's all the wierd noises in the house. and each night one of the kids manages to have an issue...one night the wind kept Rebekah awake, last night the smoke detector in Joshua's room started beeping because the battery was low (he was so upset it took us a few minutes to even figure out what he was saying!) but everyone seems to be adjusting pretty well...
Bailey is enjoying all the new cabinets to explore!
Joshua likes all the empty space to run around and play! Here's a couple quotes from him...
We were talking about his birthday and his party and he said, with much enthusiasm...
"Maybe God can come to my party and bring me presents!"
And, this is a conversation we've had numerous times...
Joshua: "When are we going home?"
Mom: "We ARE home."
Joshua: "No, this is our new house."
Rebekah had her first day at her new school today. i was very impressed with the teachers and her classroom and she seemed to have a great time!
back to unpacking!
